Lydia and Bryan’s wedding entourage hit so many of Denver’s top wedding venues that it’s almost hard to keep track! The day began with getting ready photos at the hip and funky Curtis Hotel. The wedding ceremony was conducted at the immense Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. We took creative wedding portraits outside the Denver Art Museum, and back at the Curtis. The reception rounded out the day back at the Denver Art Museum.
Kara and Jacob’s artistic wedding photos began at the Grand Hyatt in downtown Denver. Out the window we could see the historic Trinity Church where the First Look and the ceremony were held. The wedding party then ventured by limousine to the Governor’s Mansion and Civic Center Park for unique wedding photos. The rocking reception was the grand finale, with dinner, dancing, and speeches at Denver’s highest public venue on the 38th floor.
Robin and Todd’s outdoor wedding at Hudson Gardens was held on a gorgeous summer day in the botanical gardens along the Platte River. The gardens are a beautiful venue for a couple looking for a colorful and lush outdoor ceremony location in Denver. Receptions can be held on site, but Robin and Todd took a romantic pedicab ride along the river to the nearby Riverfront Event Center for the reception.
Many of Denver’s couple’s choose to have their wedding receptions in their own backyard. The ceremony was held at Rockland Community Church in the Front Range Mountain town of Genesee, Colorado. We took epic wedding portraits of the bride and groom, and bridesmaids and groomsmen, at Denver’s favorite outdoor location, Red Rocks Park. Margarita pulled out all the stops in decorating their reception with Mexican wedding themed details.
The Westin Downtown Denver is another top wedding venue in downtown Denver, Colorado. Paula and Harry’s wedding heated up an otherwise cold winter day. We didn’t spend time shooting posed portraits since this couple preferred the candid style of a photojournalist. The couple surprised their guests with a first dance to remember, and unleashed some incredible dance moves that they had been working on at top secret ballroom dance lessons!
