Meet Hannah, she just finished her senior year of high school in Colorado Springs, but came up to Boulder since she wanted a photographer who could bring out her model good looks. We fended off Boulder’s torrential spring rains and headed out to a little known back alley for some of my trademark urban nature shots. The fresh green leaves on the trees, puddled dirt roads, and misty air created a moody atmosphere. I used an off-camera beauty dish setup to create directional light and to evoke a fashion feel. Hannah’s dramatic expressions evoke a magazine editorial feel, and are an artistic departure from your cookie cutter senior photo session.
