Welcome to an ultra-mega-3-location engagement photography session extravaganza! We started things off with Kimmy the dog at the kids fishing pond downtown.

What a poser she is!

I spotted this funky painted school bus and knew there was a shot there!

We moved on to Settler’s Park and hiked the short climb up to Red Rocks. This was my second engagement shoot in a row where we went here, which is pretty uncharacteristic for me! There are lots of great views and angles of the rocks, so there are definitely more unique angles that I still have in mind.

I always try to make a creative shot somewhere in the valley as well. It is challenging because the backgrounds are usually shady and cluttered. But I saw the sunlight backlighting this pine tree and knew it would be a cool background. I added my own additional rim light to increase the drama . . . love this shot!

After Red Rocks we took a little trip to a new location for me, The Butterfly Pavilion. Chelsea is way into butterflies, in case you couldn’t tell. The Butterfly Lady put the butterflies on those guys for some serious posing action. No butterflies were killed in the making of this blog post.

Although I did try to get Scott to bite this one…

Okey doke this concludes another blog entry! For this last photo I will leave you with visions that I’m still traveling to exotic tropical locations!
