Lara and Billy .:. Wedding

Lara and Billy invited me to shoot their wedding at a little known venue in Boulder County called Lonehawk Farms. It’s a really nice, low-key venue with some stunning scenery of the plains and the Flatirons.

Prior to heading out to the farm, we shot some getting ready shots back in town at the St. Julian Hotel. The photo above is of Lara’s shoes. The photo below is of Lara’s shoes in the middle of some wedding day Sport The Dress™ fun! Lara and Billy are hard core triathletes, just in case you didn’t notice the ripped legs Lara is sporting! I’m not sure how many other photographers have brides that climb up the sides of hotel walls in their wedding heels on their wedding day, but I don’t think there are likely to be too many.

Here is Billy.  This is probably the most GQ moment of his entire life.  If he doesn’t use this photo for his Facebook profile picture at some point I think I’m going to take it personally.

And here we have the star of the show, Bogart! Bogart is Billy’s current Facebook profile picture, and is quite the little dog model. I mean, look how he is just lifting his little paw up there! What a pose! Bogart has a way of bogart-ing all the attention, just like he did at the engagement shoot.

There were plenty of gorgeous details out at the farm. Boulder Blooms did an awesome job with the flowers, and the chuppah looked fantastic.

There was some light rain during the ceremony but not enough to really put the brakes on. I think everyone is super psyched that we got through the ceremony without taking an impromptu shower!

I look forward to shooting again at Lonehawk, there are tons of spots with the potential for spectacular compositions.

The reception was held indoors inside the large barn. Magic happened.

Tee and Cakes was on hand for yet another wedding . . . cupcakes are so hot right now!

I’m going to wrap things up with a fun group photo, because all large group shots don’t have to be stuffy and boring!
