I nearly always have it off camera to as to avoid the dreaded direct flash look. I like the way it fills in eye socket shadows and adds eye sparkle, plus I like shooting into the sun a lot! It looks like you are fond of flash in the outdoors...I say that as a compliment, as it's not obvious and your work is VIBRANT with color. The shoes, the shot coming to the couple getting married seaside and the kid running though leaves all seem to have that quality.
